Gold falls back from another new all time high today

Yesterday further demand for havens away from US assets drove yet more demand for Gold. The metal rose to new heights above $3,340 and later posted a record daily close, at $3,343.12. Much earlier today, as the US equity futures fell back further, Gold rose to set a new record high, at $3,357.78. However, the noted comments regarding talks between the US and Japan over trade saw it fall back sharply to $3,320.93. It has bounced from that low now though, as the immediate risk positive reaction dissipates somewhat. Gold is currently trading at $3,334.60
