Gold edging closer to potential support around $2,070

Gold has tried and failed a few times earlier today to rise above $2,090 and since then it has since fallen back to a session low at $2,072.86. It is tracking back towards that low just now and that means it is closer to the interim breakout level at 2,070.64. That defined the breakout yesterday and it remains to be seen if this level will be tested today. The price action suggests it could, but as to whether it will hold, or not is an open question right now. Gold has in fact just now setting a fresh session low at 2,071.45. It is currently trading at $2,073.80
