Gold edges to session highs above $2,910 as European stocks stabilise

Since an earlier update here this morning, noted Gold recapturing the $2,900 handle, the metal has advanced a bit further. It has not long ago pushed back above $2,910. The gain comes as the European stock markets garner a bit more traction now and the DAX just lifted back above 22,800. The US futures are still in the green too, but once again not making that much headway in real terms. That said, it seems to be enough to help gold buyers stick another toe in the water. As noted here a few times already, the overall gold dynamic is at odds with what one might expect in terms of risk and havens from it. If that changes, as perhaps it should, you will hear about it. Gold is currently trading at $2,909.90
