Gold edges back from another record

As the dollar slipped on the latest housing news, just noted in the previous update, that provided the excuse for Gold to push above $2,714 and set another new record today. The metal reached $2,717.11, but it has just backed away from that new record. The usual pre-weekend geopolitical risk seems in place for sure again this Friday, but that does not mean the metal will keep rising, but of course that is not to dismiss the possibility that it might. Of course we are once again into uncharted territory on the metal and that makes for plotting a further upside resting point rather tricky. Gold is currently trading at $2,711.60
