Gold drops back from Asian high at $2,178.36
Gold closed on Friday at $2,165.44. That close came after it has stalled some $20 higher earlier in the day and fallen back to around $2,156. That close did also continue to underpin the technically negative close it had set the day before. Earlier today the metal did rebound, reaching a high at $2,178.36. However, it has since tailed off again and fallen back to just below where it had closed on Friday. The low seen a short while ago was set at $2,164.08. Gold is currently trading at $,2165.40
