Gold continues to edge higher after US data
The reaction across the markets following the release of the US data a few minutes ago has helped to lift Gold. Quite why that is the case is not exactly clear, but the lack of any dollar rise on the data has helped to push Gold back above $3,340 just now. That means it is now pressing back towards European session highs. Earlier this afternoon the metal topped out around $3,344 per ounce, before edging back to around $3,335. Gold is right now at $3,342.70
