Gold backs away from a new all time high at $2,640.11

Yesterday afternoon Gold did back-off slightly from what was another record high above $2,630. The slight relapse of about $15 was corrected into the close though and later the metal posted a new record daily close, at $2,628.72. That positive momentum helped it to reach new records this morning and it lifted to set a new record a short while ago, at $2,640.11. However, it has just seemingly run into some profit-taking just now, as it hands back around $10 in a pretty steep move lower. The low seen earlier today was set at $2,623.92. Gold is currently trading at $2,632.20
