GBP/USD tests 1.2700 as US stock markets reopen

The US stock markets are just reopening and it is looking like a slightly negative start to the day and one where the dollar is higher overall, but not quite so versus the Yen. The USD/JPY has rebounded from an earlier low though, which saw it fall back to around 151.80. Elsewhere the failure of the EUR/USD to bounce much at all following the negative comments from Lagarde has helped to force the GBP/USD lower too and just now the GBP/USD hit a new low on thew week, at 1.2700. It is not much above that low now either, currently trading at 1.2707
