GBP/USD rebounds back above 1.33 as Reeves prepares to speak

At approximately 11am GMT the UK Chancellor, Rachel Reeves is due to address the Labour party conference. This upcoming speech was mentioned here earlier today and it could have an impact, despite the prospect of a clear lack of detail likely. It would be strange for Reeves to give anything away on what might be coming in the Budget at the end of October, but we shall see shortly. Just as Reeves is about to speak, the dollar has fallen back across the board now. The USD/JPY is close to session lows near 143.25 and hence back underneath its 21 day moving average again. Both the EUR/USD and the GBP/USD have continued to recover their earlier losses, as mentioned in the previous update. The GBP/USD is just now trading back above the 1.33 handle once more
