GBP/USD near session highs as huge UK data drop looms

At 7am GMT the UK will release a whole batch of economic data. The headline of all this will surely focus on the preliminary reading of Q3 GDP. but there are many other data points to consider too. This covers industrial and manufacturing production, index of services, trade and current account balances, construction output and business investment. An update to try and dissect all that lot will follow as soon as possible, after it all hits the screens. Meanwhile, the GBP/USD is close to session highs just now, having rebounded from a low yesterday, at 1.2630. The high seen ahead of the close last night was set at 1.2720 and that came right on the 4pm London fix. The GBP/USD then dropped back and closed in the US last night at 1.2666. The range seen so far today has been covered by 1.2657 to 1.2683. It is surely going to react to this data deluge due shortly. The GBP/USD is right now trading at 1.2679
