The GBP/USD might move when Andrew Bailey talks at 10.15am GMT

The Pound is not much changed from where it was at the time of my last update, noting the price action so far today. On balance it is a little lower, but we are talking just a few pips here. Now, at 10.15am GMT the Bank of England governor, Andrew Bailey is due to testify in front of the House of Commons Treasury Select Committee (TSE). I cannot legislate for what Bailey might have to say this morning, but he likely to be grilled on monetary policy and perhaps on the Pound in that respect, but we shall have to see what emerges here. Right now the FX markets are a little wary of this and it is an event that is immediately on the radar for the Pound this morning. Right now the dollar more generally is a little firmer and that is weighing on the GBP/USD to a limited degree. The GBP/USD is currently trading at 1.2584
