GBP/USD lifts above 1.2760 as EUR/GBP falls back towards 0.8550
Yesterday the EUR/GBP stalled around 0.8625 again and then it fell back abruptly into the 4pm London Fix. That later delivered a US close at 0.8564. There has been no rebound to note so far today and if anything the price has edged lower so far, towards 0.8550. That has allowed the GBP/USD to push higher and rise above 1.2750 this morning. The GBP/USD had closed in the US last night at 1.2748 and it has pressed on to a high so far today at 1.2769. The move is taking the Pound close to technical levels just around 1.2780. The gains in the GBP/USD have also gained traction earlier from a push back above 188 in the GBP/JPY. The GBP/USD is currently trading at 1.2768
