GBP/USD falls to session lows underneath lows seen on Friday
The dollar is still making progress this afternoon. As already mention in the previous update, the US currency was completely undaunted by the weaker than expected US leading index data and now it has pushed a little more versus the Yen. At the same time the GBP/USD and EUR/USD have just now hit fresh session lows and in the case of the Pound it has fallen below the low point seen on Friday, at 1.3011. The low seen this afternoon has been set at 1.3006 a moment ago and it is possible that some light stops were tripped below 1.3011. That said the Pound is off the low right now. The next important event for the Pound could be the latest UK government borrowing data early tomorrow morning (6am GMT). A further update here will follow ahead of that release tomorrow morning. The GBP/USD is currently trading at 1.3010
