GBP/USD falls to session lows as EUR/GBP rises to session highs
The headline above says it all really. The Pound is under a degree of pressure now today. The currency has fallen across the board and not just versus the Dollar and the Euro. If you cast an eye on the USD/JPY right now you will see that is now some 140 points below the earlier session high, at the same time as the GBP/USD falls back towards and just below 1.2650 has delivered a sizeable drop back in the GBP/JPY from earlier levels. That is now almost 200 points lower. The driver for all this seems to also rest with the EUR/GBP. That is now pushing close to 0.8350, after falling back close to 0.8300 ahead of the UK data releases earlier this morning.
