GBP/JPY lifts to new 15 year high

The rebound in the USD/JPY has come alongside gains in the major Yen crosses. That was noted here earlier and right now the GBP/JPY is pressing to fresh highs, not seen since 2008. The GBP/JPY closed in the US last night at 206.27. The Pound has just lifted to a high at 206.86 and looking at the longer term chart there really is not much in the way of technical resistance to note anywhere close by. That is not to say it will move substantially higher from here. In terms of the really long term picture the next major level of note to discern right now is actually not until levels closer to 230. That is along way off and not a level that is likely to be reached any time soon, if at all. The GBP/JPY is currently trading at 206.84
