FTSE jumps to fresh session highs above 7,850 as BOE holds rates at 5.25%

Following on from the previous update, the shift in the BOE voting split, which dented the pound has led to an opposite reaction in the FTSE 100. The UK benchmark index has jumped back to fresh session highs above 7,850 on the shift in the voting split, with 2 previous Hawks on the MPC now voting for now change. This is positive news for the UK stock markets and that explains the reaction we have seen in the FTSE 100. The index is currently trading at 7,855
