FTSE 100 set to open higher this morning
The FTSE 100 was by some margin the best performing major European index on Friday. The index rose 0.54% on the day, to end the month at 8,275. The rise of 44 points on the session was also the best amongst the majors too. Overnight the gains in Asia, following the late US session surge has helped to lift the FTSE 100 futures this morning. Of course it is a similar story for the DAX and the CAC right now too. So, with around an hour to go before live trading for the new month gets underway, the FTSE 100 is priced to reopen at around 8,340
