FTSE 100 set to open higher this morning
The FTSE 100 managed to post a higher close again yesterday, ending the day 29 points higher, at 7,597. The index was helped higher by a record close in the DAX and the FTSE futures are higher this morning. Once again it seems the DAX is helping to elevate the opening outlook for the UK index and the sales data released just now was much better than forecast. The 3.4% rise was actually more than double the consensus and that must be adding to the higher opening too. So, the FTSE 100 is right now priced to reopen around 7,640
