FTSE 100 rebound on Friday was technically impressive- can it extend on that today?

As noted here on Friday afternoon, the FTSE 100 enjoyed a pretty dynamic and robust rebound and managed to close back above its 200 day moving average for a second successive day. In fact, that rebound ensured the FTSE 100 was by some margin the best performing major European index by the close on Friday. The FTSE gained 1.38% compared to a 0.92% rise for the DAX and 0.58% for the CAC 40. The FTSE 100 closed 112 points higher, at 8,262. 08. The 200 day moving average, which is still rising, was in place on Friday (at the close) at 8,125.25 and it will be higher again today, when live trading resumes. That close on Friday was also above the 50 and 100 day moving averages and so in that sense it sure was a technically positive close for the index. The FTSE 100 futures are a little higher this morning too and right now pricing an opening at around 8,275. The next technical level for the index is the November 6 high, at 8,301.78.
