FTSE 100 performing the best of all this morning and here is why

The FTSE 100 is right now in positive territory and since the opening this morning it has been the best performing major European index. The reasons for that looks to rest with a number of things. First of all the Pound has fallen back versus the dollar and so far rejected any move above 1.3434. Second, oil prices are making progress right now this morning. Brent crude for June delivery is above $67 per barrel just now. Third there is growing evidence of positive capital flow back towards the UK, as international investors continue to look at alternatives to the US. The FTSE 100 closed last Thursday at 8,275.66. It is just now edging towards 8,300, as the DAX and CAC remain parked in negative territory this morning.
