FTSE 100 performing best of all heading into the European close

It seems pointless to repeat what an amazing and turbulent week it has been on the markets but never a greater truth was uttered. So, many traders and operators will surely be glad of a break, after such a momentous and dramatic five days. As the European stocks markets draw to the close in around 20 minutes from now the FTSE 100 is the standout best performing index and that is all due to the data we saw emerge from the UK much earlier this morning. That was surprisingly good, as noted at the time and as you can see it has not been lost on the relative performance of the UK stock markets. So, the FTSE 100 is actually the only major European index rising into the close. The FTSE 100 is trading higher by around 40-50 points, where we have triple digits losses for DAX and a CAC 40 that seems likely to close in the red too.
