FTSE 100 opens lower this morning
Yesterday the FTSE 100 came close to reaching the 8,400 handle for the first time in quite a while. In the event the index peaked at 8,395.58 and later closed 56 points higher, at 8,385.13. Leaving aside the usual book entry, the index has just now effectively opened lower. The drop on the opening comes amid more general weakness across the European stock markets this morning. The FTSE 100 has just effectively reopen slightly below 8,350
