FTSE 100 now the outlier as it slips slightly into the red
The European equity markets are mostly on the front foot still today, but the earlier gains have certainly dissipated for the DAX and the CAC. That is as US stock futures all remain in the green and we are looking at a higher opening in the next 90 minutes, unless anything changes drastically. The one outlier right now is the FTSE 100. That has now dropped back below the 8,200 mark after reaching a high earlier, at 8,231. The move higher in UK bond yields noted in the previous update is weighing on the FTSE 100 once more and so as it stands right now the index is ever so slightly in the red and the GBP/USD nudging towards session highs right now is not helping either
