FTSE 100 nears 7,400 as it leads European losses

Following on from an earlier update, noting the likely lower opening for the major European stock markets this morning, the downside has been in focus. The worst performing index so far has been the FTSE 100. As expected that effectively opened below the low seen yesterday and has extended the move close to 7,400. The DAX and the CAC are in the red this morning too, but it is once again the FTSE 100 that is the focus here. As already noted here today, the index just keeps underperforming and to some degree it seems to be dragging the DAX and the CAC lower with it as the session further unfolds
