FTSE 100 leads European stock gains as DAX rebounds to fresh session highs

The US stock markets are all still set for a higher start to the week in just over an hour or so. The European markets are generally still on the front foot too. The FTSE 100 is leading those gains and it  has pushed very close to the record it reached last week, at 8,767.50. At the same time, the DAX has recovered the earlier dip below 21,800 and now pressed on, to set a fresh session high above 21,890 just now. The reader is once again reminded; the index set a record high last week, at 21,945. It is currently trading at 21,895
