FTSE 100 holding gains ahead of an early close today
The FTSE 100 is open today and it has made some progress since resuming live trade. However, the index is set for an earlier close today. The LSE (London stock exchange) will officially close at 12.30pm GMT. The index closed yesterday at 8,102.72 That was marginally higher than the close on Friday, at 8,084.61, when the rebound from the interim low at 8,002.34 kicked in. The next potential resistance level is in place at 8,149.80 (38.2% of the 8,388.37-8,002.34 fall). The index is yet to have a good look at that level this morning, but it is definitely the next price point on the radar ahead of that early close today. The FTSE 100 is just now trading around 8,133
