FTSE 100 futures on the rise this morning

Yesterday the FTSE 100 was closed owing to the UK August Bank holiday. Had it been open, then it would surely have made some progress. That is because of the surge in oil prices yesterday afternoon coupled with a modest pullback in the GBP/USD. Well, perhaps it is no surprise to see the FTSE futures pricing a higher opening for this morning. The index last closed on Friday at 8,327. The futures are right now pricing the opening around 8,367 and that makes it the best performing index in that respect ahead of the European opening this morning.
