FTSE 100 futures higher after HSBC knocks it out of the park
Earlier this morning the Q1 results from HSBC ( A UK and Hong Kong listed Bank) were really good. Revenue and pre-tax profits rose considerably above forecasts. That said, we have just had Q1 results from BP, which were not so hot, but so far the FTSE 100 future seems to have ignored that. We shall just have to see how those two major FTSE 100 components fare when live trading resumes. The FTSE 100 was the worst performing major European index yesterday, when it barely closed higher (by just 2 points). The index ended the day at 8,417. Well, right now it is priced to effectively reopen above 8,440 a little later on
