FTSE 100 eyeing the Pound and Oil again today

On Friday the FTSE did manage to avoid a close below 7,900, but only just. The index ended the week at 7,911.36. Earlier in the session it had fallen to 7,884.45. The outlook for the opening this morning is a little uncertain though, with the GBP/USD slightly higher, relative to the lows seen on Friday, and the lower oil price today. The gains in the US stock markets later on Friday evening into the weekly close do not appear to have had much of a positive impact on the opening outlook this morning. The index will shortly reopen and the indication right now, is that it will resume live trading a little lower in a couple of minutes
