FTSE 100 dips below 7,700 as stocks falter
Following an earlier update here on the price action in the DAX, the German index has now fallen back further and it is not far above the low point seen yesterday, at 16,648. The further fall in the DAX has finally weighed on the FTSE 100. Earlier the UK benchmark was holding its ground quite well, but the further losses in Europe and more downside across the US equity futures has pushed it lower now. The low seen yesterday was set at 7,689. The index closed last night at 7,721 and had traded to a high of 7,744 earlier today. It is currently trading at 7,694
