French luxury sector in focus this morning -check out the CAC 40 opening

The CAC 40 closed yesterday at 7,858 with a modest loss on the day of just 17 points. Well since then the CAC futures have gotten smashed, in line with losses elsewhere. The index will reopen any minute and it will be interesting to see how it reacts to the earlier heavy losses across the CAC futures slide, to indicate an opening below 7,600 at one point. There is no doubt that China is the leading market for French luxury goods, but that is not to underestimate the importance of the US market and also what about French high end wine? Both in the spotlight for the index and those sectors this morning. The CAC 40 is about to reopen and not much above 7,700 right now by the looks of it. In fact it has just kicked off below that level
