Final reminder about Quick News updates this week as USD Index comes off the boil
Following on from previous notifications, this is a final reminder to let you all know this analyst will be absent from tomorrow until next Monday October 2. In the previous notification I mentioned the US Richmond Fed index being due for release tomorrow at 12.30pm GMT. That was incorrect, as it is due out this afternoon, at 2pm GMT. This Fed index is quite often closely watched by the markets and so could have an impact later today. Meantime, the USD index (USDX) is now off its earlier post March 2023 highs. The index lifted to as high as 106.20 earlier today. It has since slipped back below 106. Overall, the trend higher remains intact though, but the earlier shine has now come off the dollar
