Fed governor keeps pressure on the dollar as EUR/USD hits 1.10

The Fed governor Chris Waller has been speaking a lot over the wires in the past hour and his comments have been surprisingly dovish. Waller is a known Hawk when it comes to US monetary policy, but he has not been talking that way so far today. Indeed he has just sent the dollar to fresh session lows a moment ago. Waller just said; there is no reason why the Fed cannot lower interest rates in the near future, if inflation keeps falling. That has surprised the markets and sent the dollar to fresh session lows. It has also boosted the US stock markets and now even the Nasdaq 100 is back in positive territory, having spent the first hour in the red. The EUR/USD has just traded to test 1.10 (1.1002 the high so far), as the GBP/USD tests 1.27. The move to reach 1.10 now this afternoon endorses all that was said about the outlook here several times earlier today
