As expected US stocks open in the red- check out the Nasdaq 100

The US stock markets have just this minute reopened for live trading and of course it has been a lower start to the new for all three major indexes. The Nasdaq 100 was still leading the losses heading into the opening and at one stage was pricing that close to 17,950. In the event the index has just kicked off the session at 18,023. The low point seen all last week was set at 17,995. So, as you can see, it has not fallen below that level yet, but nonetheless not gotten off to a very positive start today. The price action is likely to be thin and sporadic today though, especially with all of Europe out of action. Whilst the outlook is pretty negative right now, we should also remember that Trump has it within his grasp to change all that. The only problem is whether his ego will allow it. The Nasdaq 100 is right now at 18,035
