As expected US stocks open higher- S+P 500 reclaims 5,100 and some
The US stock markets have just reopened for live trade and unsurprisingly it has been a higher opening today. The Dow Jones is rising towards 38,800 and the Nasdaq 100 is further above 18k. The S+P 500 has reopened above 5,100, where the index had slumped to a close at 5,078 last night, shedding 52 points on the day. Of course the eagerly awaited speech from the Fed boss is not far off now and that could determine, whether or not this higher opening is extended, or sent packing like it was yesterday afternoon. The S+P 500 is just now trading at around 5,112 on the opening
