EUR/USD stalls at 1.1381 again after US/China news sends dollar rebounding

The EUR/USD rose for most of the session yesterday, after a brief drop towards 1.13 during the European morning, it pushed higher into the US close, ending the session at 1.1370. That close came after it had exactly matched the high seen on Friday, at 1.1381. However, the news just reported in the previous update, concerning talks in Switzerland between the US and China set for this weekend sent the dollar spiking higher. That saw the EUR/USD slide to 1.1326. It has edged off that low since, after trying to push lower a few times during the Asian session today. There is no doubt that news helped to boost the dollar and setting a meeting is one thing, but anything material coming out of it is a different matter. At the same time, there is a risk of an interim double top being set in place at 1.1381 now. There will be more to add on this as the morning unfolds. The EUR/USD is right now at 1.1345
