The EUR/USD reached a new 2025 high on Friday, at 1.0521. That high was reached just as the European markets drew to a close. The EUR/USD later edged a little lower into the weekly close, drawing stumps in the US at 1.0497. The price action so far today has been to the downside. The EUR/USD has dropped to a session low so far at 1.0456. The earlier high was set at 1.0503. The rebound in the USD/JPY since earlier today has played a part in that demise and interestingly enough, both moves come as US yields fall back this morning. Perhaps that will allow for a reversal later on? Perhaps it might not and the slide in US equity futures looks like the reason for a degree of risk aversion out there just now. That seems to have lifted the US currency versus Europe ahead of the opening this morning. The EUR/USD is right now at 1.0459
