EUR/USD lifts from session low at 1.1017

The EUR/USD did eventually fall below a noted and minor Fibonacci support level on Friday. That was at 1.1041. The low seen ahead of the annual close was set at 1.1034 and the Euro later closed out the year at 1.1039. That was exactly 100 pips below the rebound high seen earlier in the week, at 1.1139. From a purely technical perspective there was nothing especially negative in that annual close, although it was obviously not as high as it could have been. The price action in Asia today has seen the Euro drop back a little more, to a low at 1.1017, from an earlier high at 1.1045. However, it has since lifted off that low, but has remained inside that range, currently trading at 1.1033
