EUR/USD lifts to new 2024 high above 1.12
It has taken all morning, but now the EUR/USD has lifted above the noted 2024 high, at 1.1202. The move has come after the USD/JPY dropped back from an earlier high at 144.44. The high seen in the EUR/USD has just been set at 1.1208. The price action through 1.12 is not exactly conclusive at this stage, as there are still noted option maturities in place between 1.1200 and 1.1210. So, unless the EUR/USD vaults the upper end of that noted range, the price action might be rather sticky for the time being. The EUR/USD is currently trading at 1.1196
