EUR/USD edging closer to a potential push above 1.1381

Just as the European stock markets prepare to get the live trading session underway, the EUR/USD is edging higher and it is now close to a potential break above the noted high seen yesterday, at 1.1381 and the same high seen on Friday. There is no guarantee that it will push above that level, but a rise above 1.1381 might deliver further upside. At the same time there is no guarantee that it will. Perhaps a rise above 1.1381 might open a path to revisit levels above 1.14? We shall have to see on that, but one thing looks clear; the news that sent the dollar higher overnight seems short-lived, when one looks at the price action of the US currency this morning. That is also reflected in the USD/JPY right now, as that edges below the 143 handle. The EUR/USD is right now at 1.1374
