EUR/USD edges off lows into and after the German IFO index

Around an hour ago it was a rather uncertain start to European equity trading, but since the opening the major indexes have now forged out some gains and that has seen the DAX press back  towards 23k. It has not got there yet and it remains to be seen if it will. Ahead of this rise, the EUR/USD did just dip below the lows seen yesterday (1.0782) and that delivered a new interim low from the most recent high at 1.0955. The low seen was set at 1.0777, but as the DAX lifted further, that allowed the EUR/USD to edge a little higher. The outlook remains very uncertain, as the German IFO business climate index breaks across the screens right now. That index was expected to show an improvement and that is what it has just delivered, but only matching, or slightly improving on expectations. Decent data, but not exactly knocking it out of the park. The EUR/USD is right now at 1.0795
