EUR/USD edges to fresh session low ahead of German ZEW release

At 10am GMT the latest German ZEW economic sentiment index will be released. The markets are  not expecting much change between the December readings and the January readings today. The latest other data out of Germany has shown glimmers of improvement, but that is as far as it goes. The EUR/USD is still struggling ahead of this release and just now it hit a session low at 1.0350. Depending on what emerges here a little later in the ZEW data it could help to extend that downside move, or detract from it, but it is worth remembering; that sometimes the markets do not always react to this data as they should. So, whatever emerges from the ZEW at 10am, the bigger fish out there is still the US President and whatever further he has to add on the trade situation. The EUR/USD is right now at 1.0362
