The push higher in the EUR/USD was relatively modest yesterday, but it has been extended further so far today. The EUR/USD lifted from a low point yesterday at 1.0923, to later close in the US at 1.0973. It is extending that move a little right now, rising to fresh session highs a moment ago, at 1.0987. The move has also just surpassed the 21 day moving average, which is in place at 1.0983. Of course the 1.10 handle remains a hurdle on the topside and that might continue to cap the rise ahead of the US CPI report later today. There will be more to add on that of course as the day unfolds. The push higher today is also once again being driven in part by gains in the EUR/JPY. The EUR/USD is currently trading at 1.0987
