EUR/USD drops below 1.04 after Trump talks reciprocal tariffs as early as today

Not that long ago the US president was up and about early again and whilst touting his potential achievement to potentially end the war in Ukraine, he also threw in an entirely different nugget. That was his comment regarding a possible announcement later today on reciprocal trade tariffs. That news sent the EUR/USD lower and DAX lower lower too. Prior to that the index had powered ahead once again, reaching a new record high at 22,566. However, these comments from Trump sent is sliding back below 22.500. It also served as a wake up call for the EUR/USD, which dived below 1.04 on the news and it has not bounced back yet. The EUR/USD is right now at 1.0391
