On New Years eve the dollar pushed higher into the annual close and that push saw the EUR/USD fall to a low at 1.0344, set just after the clock struck 4pm here in London. The Euro later closed out 2024 at 1.0356. That was its lowest annual close since December 31, 2017. The low seen on Tuesday was just 1 pip higher than that seen on December 20 (1.0343). Prior to that the low for 2024 was set at 1.0335 and it came on November 22. The low seen earlier today was set at 1.0345. So, as you can see, we have a series of lows since November 22, that have rejected a new low point for the Euro. The question for 2025 is will that 1.0335 low now crack, or will the Euro continue to base out and rebound as the New Year unfolds? You are probably best left to answer that for yourself, but right now it is worth noting; that any rebounds seen since 1.0335 have been less than convincing. The high seen so far today has been set at 1.0375. The EUR/USD is currently trading at 1.0367
