European stocks off to an uncertain start today- check out the FTSE 100

On Friday the FTSE 100 was the second best performing major European stock market index, behind the DAX. The FTSE gained 1.01%, closing 75 points higher at 7,529. That close was just below the high of the session, at 7,538. It has just now reopened and it has been in the red so far this morning. The index could be held back by the further drop in oil prices today and if it is, then that would not be much of a surprise. However, the FTSE 100 is on the rebound from earlier session lows and currently just reclaiming that 7,500 handle
