European stocks turn lower-check out the DAX now

The earlier higher opening for the European stock markets has now given way to losses. The FTSE 100 is lower and dropping back below 7,650 now. The DAX is also lower, after balking at a record high opening today, at 17,020. The high seen was set at 17,021 which means it failed to make it past the new all time record high set yesterday, at 17,049. So, the lack of momentum on the topside has perhaps played a part in the index now falling back, but so has some downside across the US equity futures too. The Dow Jones future is now in the red, falling back 38,500. The DAX has just now traded to below 16,975
