European stocks slip as risk mood darkens-DAX drops below 15,250

The European stock markets are edging lower again now, after more than an hour of live trading. The US futures are lower too and the whole risk dynamic is a little under pressure, but we are not talking about major moves here yet. The attempts to rebound in the FTSE 100, CAC 40 and DAX indexes have so far not materialised and now all three are at session lows as I write. The FTSE 100 is approaching 7, 375 and the DAX has recently dropped below 15,250. The DAX reopened today at 15,296, after posting a close at 15,352 yesterday. That lower opening was not unexpected, as noted here beforehand. However, the rise above 15,300 that followed stalled at 15,309 and now it is under a degree of pressure. There has been no significant news, but the fallout across the bond markets is still impacting the price action and there is some evidence of a degree of pre-weekend risk aversion just starting to kick in. The DAX is just now trading at 15,250
