Yesterday the European stock markets did not exactly buy into the gains seen across the pond in the US. Perhaps the European close came too early for all of that to really influence the price action here? Well, if not the gains where seen in the majors were limited to the DAX- that managed to add just 65 points by the close, where the FTSE 100 and the CAC 40 closed slightly lower. The FTSE 100 handed back 21 points and the CAC lost 18 points. The index closed at 7,247 and it has just reopened at around 7,150 and so far in very early trading all these indexes are not exactly knocking it out of the park. So, it remains to be seen, if the CAC can make much in the way of further progress this side of the weekend. The index is currently trading at around 7,258
