European stocks set for an uncertain opening ahead of the weekend-DAX futures slightly higher
Yesterday all three major European stock market indexes closed slightly lower. It was a close call between the DAX and the CAC as to which ended the most in the red and in the event there was little to choose between them. The DAX closed 44 points lower (-0.23%) at 19,210 and the CAC 40 closed 18 points lower (-0.24%), at 7,541. The DAX is set to reopen shortly a little above where it closed yesterday, but not by anything that cannot be removed, or added to in the blink of an eye. The modestly lower closes in the US last night and remaining uncertainty over the situation in the Middle East remain as headwinds ahead of the weekend. The DAX is currently priced to reopen at around 19,225
